A stone, tan, and grey sneaker with emerald accents for everyday wear.
Why go all-white or all-black when some sneakers strike such a perfect balance between the two? The ASICS GEL-NYC 2055 in Pale Oak is far from plain — with an oatmeal-colored mesh base, cement-colored overlays, sand-colored leather accents, and stone-like emerald accents around the outsole, it's a colorway sure to attract eyes, especially since these aren't your run-of-the-mill chunky sneakers. The sneaker itself looks plucked from the mid-2000s but in a good way. With upper components pulled from the GT-2050 and GT-2060 running sneakers and tooling carried over from the GEL-CUMULUS 16, it makes obvious reference to other sneakers in ASICS' archive while being wholly new. The comfort-tech ASICS has slowly become known for is present too — rear- and forefoot GEL technology for all-day wear.
