Founded by Kihachiro Onitsuka in 1949, the ASICS journey began in the heart of Japan. Their name is an acronym for "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," or a sound mind in a sound body -— a philosophy that continues to inform its designs to this day. The label has grown from its basketball beginnings to become a regular on the streets, in the gym, and everywhere in between.
