Made for motorcycling, these Wayne Enterprises jeans are reinforced with kevlar weft for the streets of Gotham.
Wayne Enterprises, in conjunction with Uncrate, has worked with indie denim atelier imogene+willie to produce a functional jean for motorcycling. The face of the fabric is 100% cotton so it will fade and wear like a regular pair of selvedge jeans, however, the weft is a continuous strand of Kevlar which adds extreme strength and protection, providing the motorcycle rider scuff-and-scrape protection in the event of a fall. Equally, the kevlar infusion functions to ensure the jean's resistance to tears, snags, sparks, and deep stains when getting on and off the bike, or working on the motorcycle itself. While made with motorcycling in mind, the jeans are equally usable for everyday wear, as the Kevlar weave provides a subtle bronze sheen underneath the deep indigo (almost black) denim for a look not found in most denim jeans. Over time, the stiffness of the heavy selvedge denim and Kevlar weft will give way to conforming to the wearer's body without sacrificing its durability while on a bike. Jean is cut in Imogene+willie's most popular Barton pattern that is suitable for most body types, and features a screen printed map of Gotham City on the inner pocket. Patterned, cut, and sewn in the United States and made for the streets of Gotham City.
