Timex Q Marbella Stainless Steel Watch

Swiss mechanical watchmaking operated the same way for centuries, using gears and springs instead of a battery and a vibrating crystal. But in the 1970s, cheap and highly accurate quartz watches from Japan and the US nearly wiped out the entire industry. Timex's Q line references that era, when Timex was on the winning side of the shift and used it to push its boldest, most experimental designs of the decade. The Marbella channels 70s motorsport: a circular-brushed, silver-tone bezel ringed with bolt details looks lifted straight off a dashboard gauge, wrapped around a textured blue dial built for a glance at speed rather than a slow read. The 40.5mm case runs in fully brushed silver-tone stainless steel, with luminant hands and markers that stay legible after dark.
