A classic 70's watch from the Timex archives provides the inspiration for this automatic timepiece.
First released in the 1970s, the Q Timex remains a legendary timepiece. This new watch draws inspiration from the Q and melds an iconic look with rock-solid automatic movement. The hidden lugs and unidirectional functionality will be familiar to retro fans, while the black and red "Coke" bezel provides a pop of color that helps it stand out. The M79 has a black dial with day/date windows and Mercedes-style hands and arrives slightly larger than the original 38mm case, with an uptick to 40mm to make room for the larger automatic movement, which is on display via the exhibition case back. The watch is finished with a tapered stainless steel bracelet, another fitting callback to the original.
