For over 40 years, tradition and innovation have driven award-winning Maestro Mezcalero Don Fortino Ramos. He brings that experience to each distillation, including this release from The Lost Explorer. The process begins on ancestral Miztec land in Valles Centrales, Oaxaca, where the Espadín agave spends 8 years maturing in the arid and sun-soaked valley. After it is harvested and distilled under the direction of Ramos, the spirit is bottled at an approachable 42% ABV. The land is well represented in this smoky, sweet, herbaceous Mezcal, which can be enjoyed neat or in various cocktails.
