Legendary movie poster artist Tom Jung created this original concept drawing for The Empire Strikes Back's 1980 theatrical release. The graphite sketch on white paper features handwritten labels "Luke Leia + Solo" and "Empire" with Jung's signature at the bottom. Jung, who designed the iconic Style A poster for the original Star Wars, was commissioned by Lucasfilm to develop concepts for Empire's Style B poster featuring Darth Vader towering over the cast and AT-AT walkers. This preliminary drawing represents the creative process submitted to Lucasfilm for approval before the final painted illustration. The piece comes framed with a certificate of authenticity.
