Editor’s Note
Capri's reputation as a Mediterranean playground comes to life in Slim Aarons' Marina Piccola, photographed in 1954 at Canzone del Mare, the island's celebrated seaside retreat. Set along the picturesque Marina Piccola, the image captures the atmosphere of Italy's postwar golden age, when the island became a favorite escape for artists, celebrities, and international travelers. The coastal setting and timeless appeal of the Italian Riviera make this a quintessential example of Aarons' celebrated travel photography. Printed on archival Fuji Crystal Archive paper and custom-framed by hand, it brings a piece of vintage Capri to the wall.
