Distilled in May 1998 and bottled in October 2023, this single-cask release offers citrus flavors.
Distilled in the Scottish Highlands in May 1998 and aged for 25 years in a refilled bourbon hogshead, this single malt scotch whisky from Single Cask Nation is a delightfully sweet sipper. On the nose, the light golden liquid puts off notes of lemon bars, sugar cookies, and subtle wood smoke, which blends into flavors of chamomile tea, lemon meringue pie, toast, and dark chocolate. A smooth finish of white pepper and charred oak is followed by lingering citrus for a satisfying conclusion. Only 212 bottles were filled at a cask strength of 46.7% ABV from cask no. 750786, making this a relatively rare release.
