Shinola provides their own take on the Moonwatch with their first-ever manually-wound chronograph.
Shinola wasn't around for the Apollo 11 lunar mission, but their hometown of Detroit played a pivotal role, with the Big Three — Ford, GM, and Chrysler — all making significant contributions. The Mooncraft Monster celebrates this legacy. Inside its 43mm titanium case sits a sunray-finish blue dial, with red hands for the chrono seconds and three sub-dials, a cream outer track bearing the name of the mission and its date, and matching cream, lume-filled main hands and indices. The unidirectional rotating bezel has a dial-matching blue aluminum insert, and the exhibition caseback allows for views of the manually-wound Sellita SW510 M b movement that powers the proceedings. Finished with a case-matching three-link titanium bracelet, the watch is limited to 500 examples.
