This LAT Photographic image captures Ayrton Senna sitting alongside his broken-down Lotus 97T-Renault on the Estoril circuit during practice for the 1985 Portuguese Grand Prix, the same race weekend on which he would claim his first F1 victory in one of the most dominant drives of his early career. One of motorsport's most quietly iconic images, it shows the greatest driver of his generation alone on the track, composed and waiting. Individually numbered from an edition of 495.
