The field watch was born in the trenches of World War I, when soldiers needed to read the time without reaching into a pocket. Over a century later, Seiko's 5 Sports Field GMT SSK059 carries that lineage into a white-dial GMT that spent years as a Japan-only release before going global. The textured white dial pairs an orange arrowhead GMT hand with a fixed 24-hour bezel, drawing comparisons to the Rolex Explorer II "Polar" since its debut. Inside the 39.4mm stainless steel case, Seiko's Calibre 4R34 automatic delivers 41 hours of power reserve with hacking seconds and manual winding, water-resistant to 330 feet, on a five-row stainless steel bracelet with a push-button folding clasp.
