Saucony revives an '80s running silhouette for modern casual wear with the Shadow 5000.

The Saucony Shadow 5000 originally came out in the '80s as a running shoe. You can still run in them, but they're better suited to casual current-day pursuits. The upper is crafted from a mesh base with suede overlays, along with speed lace mid and top eyelets for a secure fit. A soft-touch collar and tongue lining combine with a shock-absorbing EVA midsole for comfort, while the XT-600 triangular lug rubber traction outsole gives the shoe a rugged base, even if it's only being worn to cross the street.
