Resonance is the enemy of turntable sound quality. With a CNC-machined MDF plinth filled with hard-resin-coated steel pellets and magnetic feet, Project's RPM 10 does all it can to eliminate it. The feet are met with opposing magnets in the chassis, allowing it to almost float, and reducing resistance for the internally-dampened polished aluminum platter and its outboard belt-drive motor. The chassis has a cabin surface coating, further helping to reduce vibration, while the platter has a vinyl surface and is coupled with a 10cc Evolution conical carbon-fiber tonearm. High-purity copper connects the included Sumiko Starling cartridge to the internals, while a balanced 5-pin DIN phono output ensures the highest possible output quality. The deck ships with a high-grade, purpose designed 1.23m DIN-RCA phono cable for maximum compatibility.
