New Globetimer boasts an 18-carat gold case, innovative pushers, and a new exclusive automatic movement.
Form and function collide with the announced release of the 1919 Globetimer Gold Edition Watch. Built around an elegant 18-karat gold case with a case back showing 24 world time zones, the Globetimer runs on a new automatic WERK 04.110 movement, which features a second-time-zone module that was developed exclusively for Porsche Design by legendary complications manufacturer Dubois Dépraz in Switzerland. As intricate as it is under the hood, the innovative pushers make it simple for the wearer to operate, designed with drivers in mind for quick adjustments behind the wheel without the need to unlock the crown to jump the local hour hand in whole-hour increments as you move across time zones. It also has a black dial with minute, hour, and central second hands along with a contrasting gold date scale on the inner ring, 24-hour scale on the outer ring, and a subtle day and night display at 9 o'clock. The highly legible display is protected by sapphire crystal with seven layers of non-reflective coating. A final automotive link comes in the form of the black Porsche car leather strap, complete with tonal stitching and a folding titanium clasp with pusher and black PVD coating and a buckle made of 18-karat gold.
