Marilyn Monroe posed for many great photographers over the years, yet when LIFE needed a cover shot for their memorial issue, they chose one from Lawrence Schiller. The then-up-and-coming artist Lawrence Schiller. Marilyn & Me captures the latter days of Monroe's life through more than 100 of Schiller's images, including a nude poolside shoot on the set of Something's Got to Give. The images are accompanied by anecdotes from Schiller, describing their relationship, Monroe's warmth, and some inside stories about how certain images ended up published and others met their end at Marilyn's hands.
