Grado has been building headphones since 1953 and has only had three generations of drivers over the last 20 years. With the SR225x, they're introducing the fourth. The new 44mm drivers have a more powerful magnetic circuit, a mass-reduced voice coil, and a redesigned diaphragm, resulting in less distortion and greater clarity. They sit inside an open-air cup, connected to a better-cushioned faux-leather headband and outfitted with an improved, more durable headphone cable. Built by hand in Brooklyn, NY.
