Editor’s Note

In 1957, photojournalist George Rodger and his wife Jinx left their home in Kent and set out for a Trans-Sahara Expedition. The pair traveled across Africa in a Series I 107-inch Land Rover Station wagon they called Mzuri, meaning "very good" in Swahili. In this photo, Roger is standing on the hood of the iconic 4x4 with his camera, preparing to capture an image in the Algerian Sahara. Printed to order on Fuji crystal archive paper, numbered and certified, and comes encased inside a hand-made solid wood black that's ready to hang. Limited edition of 495.
