Fireball elevates its bodega staple by aging it in former bourbon barrels for a smoother sip.
Fireball is not a premium product. Readily available at corner bodegas and college parties, it's meant for mindless consumption. Fireball Dragon Reserve changes that ever so slightly. Cheekily described as having been aged in "dragon-charred" barrels, this limited release was actually aged for a handful of months in former bourbon barrels, helping to tame the drink's signature spice and cloying sweetness. Bottled at 33% ABV, it's more sippable than chuggable, a welcome upgrade from the standard release.
