Editor’s Note

Edwards Air Force Base has played a crucial role in American aviation. It's home to a test pilot school, it's the place where Chuck Yeager first broke the sound barrier, and it was also the landing site for early Space Shuttle flights. Based on this 1962 photo, it was also home to paragliders, as it shows one coming into land on one of the base's dry lakebeds. The photo is printed on Fuji crystal archive paper, numbered and certified, and comes encased inside a hand-made solid wood white or black frame that's ready to hang. Limited edition of 495.
