PARKIT built the Eclipse around a single mechanical trick: press a button and the chair cycles through three recline positions, then press it again and it automatically resets to the upright "Kick Back" position, the same motion an airplane seat makes. The frame is aircraft-grade aluminum and stainless steel, upholstered in woven polyester in a black-and-gray Slate pattern, with faux teak armrests and a welded, insulated cooler built into the base that holds fifteen 12-ounce cans and keeps ice solid for more than 8 hours. Backpack straps let the whole chair fold up and carry hands-free, and the seat sits at 16 inches, taller than most folding chairs and closer to a standard chair height. It weighs 12 pounds empty and holds up to 350 pounds.
