Aberfeldy Sangiovese Red Wine Finish 18 Year Whisky

Eighteen years in oak give Aberfeldy's Highland single malt plenty of depth, but a finishing period in first-fill Sangiovese casks takes it somewhere more vibrant. Part of Aberfeldy's Wine Cask series, this limited release brings together bourbon, refill, and rechar cask maturation with wine-cask influence from Valdarno di Sopra in Tuscany. The result is rich and fruit-forward, with red plum, cherry, candied orange peel, honeyed fig, vanilla, and clove layered across the palate. It's a particularly expressive take on mature Highland whisky, balancing familiar malt character with the darker sweetness of red wine.
