The Collection of Curious Casks was inspired by the unique environment of The Balvenie's warehouses and the partnership between their Malt Master and Samples Coordinator. A standout among the four expressions in the collection is this 18-year-old single malt. It was aged for 10 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and European oak casks and finished for 8 years in casks that previously held wine from French Charentes vineyards. Tasting notes include honey, dried apricots, and oak spice with a long, lingering finish.
