Soriana Love Seat Sofa and Ottoman in New Leather by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina

The Soriana is one of those designs where the construction is impossible to separate from the look. Designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina around 1969, its oversized cushions are gathered and compressed within an exposed metal framework rather than hidden inside a rigid shell. This vintage loveseat retains its original Cassina frame and identification tags, and has been professionally reupholstered in new burgundy leather. The matching vintage ottoman has received the same treatment, creating a cohesive set that combines the relaxed comfort and sculptural presence that made the Soriana a landmark of Italian modernism.
