Complete sets of Percival Lafer's MP-116 are rarely encountered, making four together an especially strong example of Brazilian Modernism at its most relaxed. Designed in Brazil in the 1970s, the low-slung chairs pair generously padded, deeply gathered cushions with sculpted solid rosewood accents. The proportions are deliberately generous, creating a deep seat made for lingering rather than formal sitting, while the modular format allows the chairs to stand alone, pair up, or form a larger conversation grouping. Offered in their original condition or available for professional restoration by Hobbs Modern.
