Seiko reimagines its 1970 diver's watch with this automatic special edition reference.
A reimagining of Seiko's 1970 diver's watch, the Heritage Save The Ocean Special Edition invokes notes of the very areas that can directly affect ocean ecosystems. Naomi Uemura relied on Seiko divers to reach the North Pole, a fact that's reflected in the pressed patterned dial. Powered by a Caliber 6R35 automatic movement, it has a date window at 3 o'clock, as well as a unidirectional rotating timing bezel in blue, to further the sea-inspired build. The 42.7mm stainless steel case is given a super-hard coating, and has a curved design that creates a built-in crown guard at 4 o'clock. Water resistant to 200 meters, it has LumiBrite hands and markers for readability beneath the surface, and sits on a three-link bracelet.
