GMT watches make a statement: that the wearer is worldly enough to make use of a function that displays the time in a different place. The Seiko 5 Sports Field series welcomes this premium complication to the family with the SSK023. Elegantly minimal, it has a stainless steel case, 24-hour bezel, and multi-link bracelet, with a black dial protected by thick, curved Hardlex crystal. A red five-sided GMT hand pops against the dark background and provides the secondary time, while LumiBrite hands and indexes work alongside the Arabic numerals to enhance readability at night. The watch is powered by Seiko's relatively new 4R34 automatic mechanical movement, powering the hands and a date window at 3 o'clock and visible through the mineral exhibition caseback.
