The second Pit Master Reserve is a double-oaked Canadian rye that is limited to 3,000 bottles.
Peg Leg Porker remains the only bourbon brand owned by a pitmaster, and Carey Bringle, the brand's BBQ master, has something new to share. The second release in the Pit Master Reserve family is a 15-year-old double-oaked Canadian rye whiskey that gains depth from extended barrel aging. It opens with aromas of dark toffee, fig compote, and charred oak, leading to a palate of toasted hazelnuts, dried cherries, and warm clove spice, and finishes long with roasted cocoa nibs, brown sugar, and mellow leather. Limited to just 3,000 bottles, it's a bold, nuanced pour that showcases Bringle's signature smoky craftsmanship.
