Editor’s Note

The original G-Shock watch debuted 40 years ago. It's getting a modern update with the DW5000R. It inherits the physical design of the original, with a slightly larger case and a bio-based resin band that recreates the original down to the smallest detail. The digital face design is adorned with red, blue, and yellow accents, and enables a host of functionality besides basic time-telling, including a full calendar, stopwatch, alarm, and timer.
