India’s first single malt channels Islay fire through Bangalore’s extreme climate.
The first single malt whisky made in India, Amrut is the subcontinent's answer to Islay intensity—shaped by a climate all its own. Distilled in Bangalore from Scottish peated barley and bottled at a fiery 62.8% ABV, it skips chill filtration and coloring for raw, uncut character. Matured at 3,000 feet above sea level, where extreme temperatures accelerate aging, a 4.5-year-old Amrut carries the depth and smoothness of a 12-15-year-old Scotch. Award-winning and unapologetically bold, it's proof that world-class peat doesn't have to come from Scotland.
