The most technically advanced sneaker VEJA has ever made, built almost entirely from the earth.

VEJA has spent two decades proving that a sneaker can be both ethically made and genuinely desirable, and the Salar is the brand's most ambitious statement yet. Co-developed with Vibram, the Salar's sole combines Amazonian rubber and sugarcane-based E.V.A. with Vibram's cutting-edge sole technology — the kind of performance underfoot you'd expect from a dedicated trail shoe, on a silhouette clean enough for the city. The upper is built from Alveomesh, a technical fabric made exclusively from recycled polyester that delivers breathability, flexibility, and lightness in equal measure, with suede and leather panel accents adding structure and visual depth in the muted Ardoise Taupe Black colorway. The midsole is bio-based E.V.A. composed of 49% sugarcane, the insole incorporates Amazonian rubber and organic cotton, the lining is 100% recycled polyester, and the laces are recycled polyester — every layer of the shoe considered with the same rigor as the last. Made in Brazil, certified B-Corp, and built to be repaired through VEJA's in-house cobbler program, this is a sneaker that holds itself to a higher standard — and looks effortlessly good doing it.
