Based on the original 1969 Speedtimer, the Prospex SSC933 uses Seiko's solar-powered movement with a dark green dial.
Seiko introduced the Speedtimer in 1969 as the world's first self-winding watch. The Prospex SSC933 Speedtimer takes inspiration from the original with its classic design and modern feature set. The SSC933 uses Seiko's solar-powered Caliber V192 movement, which requires no battery and has a six-month power reserve when fully charged. A black tachymeter bezel surrounds a dark green sunray dial with 24-hour and power reserve indicators and a date calendar. Hands, markers, and the tip of the chronograph hand are coated in LumiBrite. A stainless steel case with anti-reflective sapphire crystal and screwdown caseback is water resistant to 100m. The image has been enhanced to emphasize the dial's dark green tint.
