Redwood Empire’s Colonel Armstrong Wheated Bourbon takes its name from a Northern California story rooted in preservation and generosity. After serving in the Union Army, Colonel James Armstrong settled in the region and ultimately preserved what is now Armstrong Redwoods by gifting the land to his daughter for $1, love, and affection. The whiskey itself carries a similarly warm character, with ripe stone fruit, vanilla, honeyed grain, and a nostalgic hint of strawberry supported by gentle baking spice and oak. A blend of barrels aged up to 14 years gives it added depth and polish.
