Peerless Distilling dates back to the 1880s. But after falling on hard times in the 1930s, the brand wasn't operating. In 2014 the legacy was revived. In the past decade, Peerless has quickly become one of the most respected distillers in Kentucky, and this latest offering is one of the reasons. Toasted Bourbon is aged in the brand's standard char level three barrel and then transferred to a toasted barrel to finish. The toasted barrels add to the spirit's complexity with honey, vanilla, chocolate, and toasted spice notes.
