A highly-limited rye release from Jack Daniel’s spends time in two different barrels before bottling.
Jack Daniel's is famous for its Tennessee Whiskey. That's not to say they aren't capable of other expressions. This Twice Barreled Heritage Barrel Rye is a perfect example. Based on a mashbill of 70% rye, 18% corn, and 12% malted barley, it first spends time in new American Charred Oak barrels, before moving on to heavy-toast, lightly-charred Heritage barrels. The resulting spirit is a complex blend of sweet and spicy, with lemon and honey flavors merging with notes of nutmeg, tea, and frosting. Highly limited and hard to come by, it's bottled at 100 proof.
