Limited to 5,000 bottles, G4’s newest tequila honors Dia de Los Muertos.
For more than four generations, the tequilas produced at El Pandillo Distillery are some of the most respected in the world. Again this year, G4 is offering a special release to mark Dia de Los Muertes: The Day of the Dead. Agave is cooked in stone ovens for 22 hours and then crushed in a handmade metal tahona that earned the fitting nickname: "Frankenstein." Next, fermentation occurs in new pine wood tanks before being distilled in copper stills. The release is limited to 5,000 hand-numbered bottles that each rest in a wood coffin box featuring three metal badges to help pay respect to the dead.
