Ben Hogan's Five Lessons has sold more than a million copies since it first hit shelves in 1957, and this definitive edition is the first to expand it in any real way, now bound by Graphic Image in green bonded leather. It's built on Hogan's original text, written with sportswriter Herbert Warren Wind and illustrated by Anthony Ravielli, and adds a new introduction from Lee Trevino along with nearly 100 pages of new writing about Hogan's life. The publisher pulled never-before-seen photos and memorabilia from the Hogan estate archive for this edition. Hogan wrote the original at the peak of his career, a stretch that included nine major championships and a run at age 41 where he won five of six tournaments he entered, including the Masters, the U.S. Open, and the British Open. He was famously guarded about the technique that got him there, and when asked how he arrived at it, he said only that "I dug it out of the dirt."
