Danner
Charles Danner founded his eponymous company in 1932 with the sole purpose of creating the best boots for Portland's booming timber industry. With the rugged terrain of the Pacific Northwest as a backdrop, Danner set out to build boots that could stand up to working in Oregon's untamed wilderness. That uncompromising vision was a success, and by 1936, the name Danner became synonymous with Oregon and tough boots that could stand up to the work of logging. Ninety years on, Danner's vision remains unchanged, with the company producing boots for everyone from the US Marines to hikers and lovers of the outdoors.
