Super73 has launched its first youth-size electric bike, the K1D, and it's on sale for Black Friday.
California-based e-bike maker Super73 is introducing its first youth model to its lineup with the K1D. Super73 took styling cues from '80s BMX and motocross bikes for the K1D, with a dirt bike-style seat, fairings, and handlebars with a padded crossbar. Safety was also at the forefront of the K1D's design. Super73 uses a lithium iron phosphate battery that's resistant to thermal events and gives the bike 60 minutes of run time between charges, taking just 45 minutes to charge to full. The K1D also features a regenerative braking system, two riding modes, a locked third "track" mode that unlocks the bike's full performance, and adjustable foot platforms and pegs for growing kids.
