Taken from the Latin phrase meaning "remember you will die", the idea of Memento Mori is all about living each day to the fullest. Created by Turkish designer Erdem Akan, this bowl channels this ethos in an exuberant, yet refined manner. It's hand-blown from black crystalline glass and depicts a skull set on its side so that the opening cuts through the side of the head — and eliminates the need for a troublesome, potentially fragile ear.
