A clip on compass adds to the already military feel of this classic mil-spec watch.
In 1986, Kelly Air Force Base needed watches that could withstand extreme changes in pressure, be used at high altitudes, and remain legible and accurate in the process. This watch was created to meet those demands. Handmade in Switzerland and designed for pilots and parachute missions, this watch has been issued and worn by troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. A detachable compass with a glow-in-the-dark bezel furthers the military feel. The watch features a lightweight, specialized fiber shell case that is sweat, shock, and water resistant and is complete with a sapphire crystal over the dial. The high-contrast dial includes an inner ring to mark military time, a rotating bezel, and is easy to read in low light conditions thanks to self-contained Tritium gas tubes on the hour markers and hands. The Navigator is powered by an accurate Swiss-made quartz movement and finished with a military-spec NATO strap.
