BareBones Forest Lantern

The Forest Lantern borrows its shape from harbor lighthouses, a stamped steel body wrapped around a 5-watt Cree LED. The bulb runs at 220 lumens and a warm 3000K, closer to candlelight than a flashlight's white glare. A push-button dimmer swings the output from a low ambient glow to full brightness, and battery life moves with it: 3 hours on high, more than 80 on the lowest setting. Two 18650 lithium-ion cells make up a 4400mAh pack, recharged over micro-USB in about 8 hours. The steel shell keeps the old-world look whether it's sitting on a porch rail or a campsite table.
