The original ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 was released in 2008 and retained the name of the line's creator, Toshikazu Kayano, despite being the first not designed by him. It's since been resurrected in this Fjord Grey colorway. The upper features the original mesh and layered synthetic leather layout, while the midsole tooling gains GEL technology cushioning for superior shock absorption and a Trusstic support system for added stability.
