This photostat storyboard was used during the production of Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. Please note the two black "ILM" stamps and blue "GENERATOR" tag, as well as the 3-ring binder peg holes along the upper margin. The artist, Joe Johnston, is denoted by the "J" near the lower left corner of the image. Johnston worked on all three films of the original Star Wars trilogy and was most notably the art director for both The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983). 

This amazing storyboard print comes from the personal collection of award-winning miniature and optical effects artist Lorne Peterson. His work within the modeling and VFX departments was instrumental to the success of the first six Star Wars films, as well as a variety of other blockbuster hits, including Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters, and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. In 1985, Lorne Peterson received an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for his work on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
