John Shenk founded Michter's Distillery in 1753. While Michter's name is instantly recognizable, the founder's name is not. Part of the Michter's Legacy Series that honors the brand's history, Shenk's Homestead Whiskey elevates the founder's legacy and uses whiskey aged in French oak that was naturally air-dried and seasoned for 24 months before being toasted. The mash bill includes a malted rye and caramel malt that adds a creamy component that pairs well with the rye-forward qualities.
