Editor’s Note

With nearly a million units sold, the Pro-Ject Debut is an audio staple, found in everything from coffee shops to semi-serious at-home Hi-Fi rigs. It gets better with the Debut Evo 2. Upgraded from the original are the aluminum platter, pin-point, low-friction aluminum tonearm bearing, TPE-damped counterweight, and the 7mV-output Pick it MM EVO cartridge. Also new are the RCA outputs and power socket, which are now integrated into the MDF plinth for a sleeker aesthetic. What hasn't changed is the authentic, powerful sound and crisp looks.
