Editor’s Note

Hardcore coffee and espresso enthusiasts will stop at nothing to obtain the perfect pull, including grinding their own beans by hand. Weber Workshops' HG-2 was made with them in mind. Crafted with the utmost care and precision, it's built around 83mm Mazzer burrs from Italy that are pre-aligned at the factory, partially pre-seasoned, and given a food-safe TiN coating for durability. They're driven by an easy-spinning flywheel attached to the world's first two-speed manual grind transmission, lessening the effort needed to grind lighter, harder roasts. The included, patent-pending Magic Tumbler attaches magnetically and uses a rotating wiper piece with a 0.4-millimeter annealed stainless steel stirring rod to evenly spread the ground out according to the Weiss Distribution Technique. A cleaning brush hides away in one handle while the other magnetically folds up for storage, and the burrs are rated for 5,000Kg, or several lifetimes of service. The machine also arrives with a stainless steel dosing cup, an amber glass mister for applying the Ross droplet technique, an
Amber Glass Mister for Ross Droplet Technique, a standard tumbler and funnel, and a leather basemat.
