Nicknamed the Frogmen, the Underwater Demolition Team was created by the U.S. Navy in 1942 and went on to handle atomic weapons during the '50s. Based on their watches, this Mil-Spec Diver from Naval Watch Co. is a modern-day throwback. While the stainless steel case has been modestly updated to 36mm, it retains many of the same features, including the crown cap, NATO strap, and acrylic dome crystal. It's powered by a Swiss-made Ronda Cal.763E Quartz movement, moving LumiNova-coated hands with the same treatment given to the indices. Water-resistant to 50 meters, it's given a PVD black finish ideal for its original stealthy purpose.
