Inspired by the Shigeyuki Mitsui-designed original from 1990, Asics' Gel-Lyte III OG is a modestly updated re-release. Seen here in a dark taupe colorway, it has a mixed material upper that retains the split-tongue design of the original, with suede overlays for durability and mesh underlays on the sides and over the toe for breathability. A Gel-technology unit in the midsole provides cushioning and rebound, while the outsole has mild ridging for everyday traction. Made with at least 20% recycled leather.
