Shinola's first-ever automatic GMT is a highly-legible, water-resistant affair in stainless steel.
A request from Pan-Am to Rolex in 1954 resulted in the world's first GMT watch. Shinola has been in business for over a decade, yet the Monster GMT is the brand's first such model. Powered by a Swiss-made Sellita SW330-2 movement, it has traditional hour, minute, and seconds hands, as well as a date window at 3 o'clock, but the highlight is, of course, the brightly-colored GMT hand that lets the wearer keep track of time in a second time zone. Its 40mm stainless steel case is water resistant to 10 ATM and perfectly sized for daily wear. It sits on a matching stainless steel strap and arrives with an additional woven strap made from upcycled tide ocean-bound plastic, all inside a metal watch case.
